Clinical Research Fellow in Cardiac Electrophysiology and Heart Failure

The post of Clinical Research Fellow is for a period of 2 years working in the area of Cardiac Electrophysiology (with emphasis on cardiac implanted devices in heart failure). You will co-ordinate a new clinical study and be responsible for patient recruitment, data management and analysis. Your work will be suitable for submission for a higher degree (MD or PhD).

You will be based at Glenfield Hospital Leicester, working in state of the art research facilities and work under the supervision of Professor André Ng.

This post is most suited to a cardiology trainee wishing to specialise in this area. You must be a registered medical practitioner holding a licence to practice and possessing MRCP or equivalent with some specialist training in Cardiology. You will be expected to register for a higher degree and participate in a generic postgraduate training programme.

An appropriate honorary clinical contract will be sought from the University Hospitals of Leicester (UHL) NHS Trust.

The College has recently set up eight cross-departmental, interdisciplinary thematic research groups in order to build on current research strengths. You will contribute to the cardiovascular research theme.
