Job Purpose

Student Welfare Officer (30 hours). To start Monday 6th January (or as soon as possible thereafter)

Based at Prospect House (North Campus) on Regent Road, the International Study Centre prepares international students for entry onto the first year of undergraduate degree programmes at the University of Leicester.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and proactive individual to join our team. The successful applicant will be the first point of contact for students and will provide support to the Administration Officers and Head of Centre with the day to day running of the International Study Centre.

The role will also involve a large element of pastoral and welfare support for our international students.

The applicant must possess excellent organisational skills, interpersonal skills and be able to work in a busy environment. The applicant must be IT proficient with a particular competence in Microsoft Excel and have a commitment to customer service and the capacity to use his or her own judgement and initiative.

The applicant must also be available to work on Fridays.
