The Department of Physics is looking to appoint a post-doctoral associate fellow for 36 months to work on simulations of kinetics of growth of self-assembled monolayers of organic molecules on crystal surfaces.

Scholarship Value :

The appointment will be made at Grade 6, currently £31,020 – £33,884 per annum, plus £2,323 per annum London Allowance.

Tenure : 36 months

Eligibility :

International applications will be considered for this position.Applicants should have a PhD in solid-state physics or related areas, with significant experience in DFT modeling of surface processes, and in MD simulations based (preferably) on both ab initio and classical Hamiltonians. Experience in code development using Fortran-90 and/or C++ computer languages is essential.
