ITS Senior Network Engineer

Salary: £36,300 - £38,500 per annum, dependent on qualifications, skills and experience

We are looking for a skilled and experienced ITS Senior Network Engineer to maintain and support Regents College’s Network. This full time post will take ownership of all network and network security related IT issues.

Reporting into the ITS Network, Infrastructure, Applications & Development Manager,  this role will play a vital role in ensuring our IT networks are fit for purpose, by working with existing team members and other staff in improving the performance and effectiveness of our key corporate systems.

This role includes managing projects both within the ITS team and external suppliers. The post holder will also be expected to contribute fully to the strategic planning of the ITS Department and be the focus for expertise in the area of ITS Network.

YOU will have:

Substantial experience with one or more networking technologies including but not limited to routers, switches, firewalls, VPNs and VOIP in a comprehensive environment.Extensive experience in leading a large scale network deployment project preferably using Prince2 methodologyExperience in analysing and troubleshooting complex network and Internet connectivity issues.The ability to research, plan, coordinate, and implement network updates in accordance with ITIL  best practicesThe ability to communicate effectively and to engage and interact with all levels of the business.
