The Department of Computer Science and Technology at the South University of Science and Technology invites applications for full-time faculty positions at the rank of tenure-track Assistant, Associate or tenured Full professor in the area of Computer Software and Theory of Computation (including but not limited to operation system, basic application software, computability theory, and computational complexity theory), High Performance Computing and System Architecture (including but not limited to high performance computing platform, parallel algorithm, parallel programming, and quantum computer and optical computer architecture), and Network Application and Data Science (including but not limited to network security, future network technology, and large-Scale data processing and application). Applicants should have a PhD with demonstrated potential in research and a commitment to teaching. Successful candidates are expected to pursue an active research program, to teach both graduate and undergraduate courses, and to supervise graduate students.
South University of Science and Technology, officially established in April 2012, is a research-intensive public institution funded by the municipal of Shenzhen, a growing international metropolitan neighboring Hong Kong. The University is accredited by the Ministry of Education, China and is a pioneer in higher education reform in China. The teaching language at the University is English or Putonghua. The choice is made by the instructor.
