The Division of Business, Enterprise and Management within the School of Arts, Social Sciences and Management is seeking to appoint a lecturer in Gastronomy to join one of our flagship areas and to contribute to the innovative portfolio of MSc degrees.
You will be expected to contribute specifically to the teaching portfolio in the MSc Gastronomy and the associated areas within the Division of Business, Enterprise and Management at undergraduate and postgraduate levels and in a diverse range of learning and teaching modes.
You will have had teaching experience in areas such as agriculture and food production, food history, culture and consumption at undergraduate and/or postgraduate levels, and importantly will have a demonstrable passion and enthusiasm and engagement in food, drink and associated agendas. You should have a good network of connections within the food and drink industry which can be developed and utilised to enhance teaching and learning activities within the programmes but which will also contribute to the ongoing development of knowledge exchange in line with the School’s strategic plans.
The Division has a growing portfolio of trans-national educational partnerships and you may be required to work towards the development of our academic programmes in a number of international partnership institutions. Occasional travel to these partnerships may also be required of the postholder.
You should have a relevant postgraduate qualification.
