The Opportunity
The Department of Physiology invites applications for a Lecturer / Senior Lecturer.

In this role you will be expected to:

be a leader in an area of research that is within the discipline of physiology;attract and maintain research funding and output through high quality publications and dissemination through conferences and community engagement;teach in the discipline of physiology, within a particular area of special expertise and also in broader areas of physiology; andmaintain scholarly / professional activities ?relevant to the profession, exercising collegiality and fellowship within the department. ?

We are especially interested in applicants with strength in endocrinology and/or gastroenterology/metabolism but also in applications from those who excel in the wider discipline of Physiology. Equivalent weight will be placed on experience in teaching and a strong track record in research.

To be successful you will have a PhD in a related area with relevant research experience within the discipline of physiology. You will also possess a demonstrated commitment to excellence in research and teaching. Establishing constructive collaborations and motivating and inspiring students to learn through effective communication and interpersonal skills is essential.

This role will commence in January 2014 and is a full-time position; however, flexible working arrangements may be negotiated.
