The Institute is now recruiting a Lecturer in Haemostasis to support and develop ground-breaking research programmes in the Molecular and cellular aspects of haemostasis as well as immunological aspects of Haemophilia and gene transfer. We seek high-achieving individuals with original ideas . We are specifically interested to hear from Fellows ready to launch their independent careers, and with an interest in blood clotting disorders, immunology related to gene transfer vector, immunobiology of inhibitors, role of haemostasis in cancer, platelet function defects.
We have close links with our major teaching hospitals including University College Hospital, Royal Free Hospital and Great Ormond Street Hospital for Sick Children. We are keen to develop further our translational research excellence in haemophilia, where the Royal Free Hospital hosts one of the leading clinical centres in Europe. There will also be opportunities to collaborate with St Jude’s Hospital, TN, USA.
The successful candidate must have a PhD in either Haematology/Haemostasis or Immunology along with a high level of analytical ability in Haemostasis.
The successful candidate must also show evidence of commitment to continuing personal and professional development and significant experience of supervising a busy laboratory while maintain motivation of the staff in it.
