The Position
We are currently looking to appoint a Post-Doctoral Fellow in Beef Production Systems in the School of Veterinary and Life Sciences. The successful candidate will be working on a funded research project titled “Addressing key issues affecting compliance rates of pasture fed cattle in Southern Australia” for a period of 12 months initially, with a possibility of a further 24 months contract if agreed KPIs and milestones of the project are achieved, and the Go/No Go clauses of the project are met (e.g. up to 36 months total).

The successful candidate will have an Agricultural Science degree or related discipline, as well as a PhD and the ability to develop an independent research profile. They will be expected to work closely with beef producers, processors and Meat Standards Australia to achieve the goals of the research project. They will also possess a track record of collaboration with fellow researchers and the industry plus have the ability to statistically analyse data.
