Situated in Mill Hill, North West London, the MRC National Institute for Medical Research is the largest MRC institute, supporting some 70 research groups and 500 bench scientists. The Institute provides excellent training for researchers in a multi-disciplinary environment and is equipped with state of the art facilities, including genetic modification of mice, imaging, histology, and high throughput sequencing.
A postdoctoral position is available in the laboratory of Dr. Pavel Tolar to study molecular mechanisms of activation of B lymphocytes. The group is interested in new ways to image and manipulate B cell antigen recognition, intracellular signaling, and trafficking.
We are seeking enthusiastic applicants, who have experience in immunology and/or optical imaging as well as excellent technical, organizational and communication skills. You should possess a PhD Degree (or be in the final stages of completion) in an appropriate scientific discipline.

This is a 3-year MRC funded Career Development Fellowship. CDFs are training and development positions for post-doctoral scientists who have either recently completed their doctoral studies, are moving into a new research discipline, have limited previous experience of key transferable skills, or are clinically qualified with little or no research experience. They provide opportunities to develop research project skills and develop collaborative links with colleagues within the Institute and elsewhere.
Salary range is from £29,155 per annum inclusive of London Allowance. MRC final salary Pension Scheme is available.
