Research Associate

Salary: £27,854 - £29,541, with progression to £36,298

Closing Date: 3 January 2014

You will be based in the Life Course, Development and Ageing theme group within the Institute of Health & Society, you will work on a study exploring barriers to the diagnosis and management of Lewy body dementias funded by an NIHR programme grant for applied research.

You will have a first degree in social sciences or health-related discipline with experience in qualitative methods. Previous research experience with health professionals and people with dementia and/or people with Parkinson’s disease is also desirable.

You will be a self-starter, able to travel, work independently and contribute to the wider activities of the Institute.

The position is offered either full or part-time for 12 months from May 2014 or as soon as possible thereafter. You should indicate on their application their preferred %FTE.
