Heriot-Watt University's 5 year strategy is to recruit global research leaders. The School of Life Sciences is opening up a number of opportunities to support this, including one position to join the Schools' expanding research activities relating to Human Health. Recent appointments in this area have included Professors and researchers in toxicology, nanomaterial-biological interactions, and nutrition and health. The applicant should consider how their research interests and activities may complement existing research programmes within the School of Life Sciences (as well as other Schools within the university). Of particular interest is research experience in Molecular/Biochemical Nutrition; Metabolism; Mechanisms of Human Disease and Disease Prevention; Physiology / Pathophysiology; Biomarker Development; Immunology.
Given the School’s increasing international agenda, applications from those with an international perspective would be particularly welcome, as would applications from those with recent relevant research outputs at the highest level, and with proven success in winning research funds.
