The Department of Economics, Faculty of Social Sciences, University of Copenhagen, invites applications for a position as Associate Professor in Development Economics. The Department of Economics has a strong international research profile and a vibrant and dynamic research and teaching environment. The new associate professor is expected to contribute actively to the advance of this environment.
To focus research efforts and to contribute effectively to the Department’s aim of being at the international research frontier in selected fields, a set of research centers have been developed as an integral part of the Department. Research in Development Economics is conducted within the Development Economics Research Group (DERG). The new associate professor will be associated with DERG and must contribute to the activities and progress of DERG.
Teaching responsibilities will be in the Department’s Economics Programme at undergraduate, graduate and PhD levels and in the Master’s Programme in Global Development.
The position is available from 1 February 2014 or as soon as possible thereafter.
