Salary: £24,766 to £27,854 on Grade E, depending on qualifications and experience
UEMS wishes to recruit an Associate Research Fellow to contribute to a national research programme to evaluate disease prevention approaches in later life. The post will involve analyses of very large-scale GP electronic clinical record and similar databases. This National Institute for Health Research (NIHR) School for Public Health Research (SPHR) funded post is available immediately, on a fixed term basis until 31st March 2017.
The successful applicant will work on SPHR Ageing Well projects with Professor David Melzer and Dr Alessandro Ble. The post will include participation in projects involving quantitative approaches to modelling risks, treatment access and prognosis. The projects will also apply quasi-experimental statistical analyses to estimate the benefits and risks of selected preventive interventions in later life.
Applicants will possess a relevant PhD, Master’s degree or equivalent experience in epidemiology, statistics, economics or similar disciple, Applicants will be keen to apply their quantitative analytical skills to health or medical research.
