The School of Humanities, Education, Sport and Social Sciences at the University Centre Doncaster is seeking to recruit a full-time member of staff to teach on its portfolio of programmes in Early Childhood Studies. The successful candidate will have a Masters level qualification in a relevant Early Years subject area and a PGCE or equivalent qualification. Experience of teaching Early Childhood Studies in Higher Education is essential, along with relevant experience of the Early Years sector (maintained, PVI or children’s services). The post requires teaching on modules from Level 4 to Level 7 on a range of Early Childhood Studies courses (BA Honours programme, Foundation Degree, BA Top-Up, Masters Degree) and will involve teaching by Distance Learning alongside on-campus delivery. Applicants should have a broad knowledge of Early Years pedagogy and learning, current policy developments for the Early Years sector, and current research in Early Years. An interest and experience in developing on-line teaching and learning materials would be a considerable advantage.
