We achieve this by delivering cutting-edge teaching, research and knowledge transfer and building strong partnerships in the public, voluntary and private sectors.
The Department of Teacher Education is committed to continuous improvement and to being the preferred accredited provider in the region for initial teacher education. With the implementation of government policy resulting in a move towards increasing the role of school and college partners in teacher education and our on-going commitment to widening participation, we are seeking to appoint a Lecturer in Post-16 and Further Education.

You will teach and support students by taking a learner centred approach in line with the University's Learning, Teaching and Assessment Strategy.
We want to hear from you if you are vitally engaged in your educational setting, and capable of generating that enthusiasm and commitment in our trainee teachers. You will have been involved in the training, development and / or support of new or trainee teachers in a post-16, vocational or further educational context. You should have a post graduate qualification or undertaken Masters level study in a relevant discipline, alongside experience of Ofsted and related quality requirements.
