We are seeking to recruit a number of Postdoctoral Science Innovators to join the Open Innovation Hub for Antimicrobial Surfaces, funded by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF), Technology Strategy Board (TSB), Industry and the University. You will be instrumental in specific research and knowledge transfer activities in order to establish advanced, cross-disciplinary scientific platforms in antimicrobial surfaces; develop smart antimicrobial strategies that inhibit spread and proliferation of hazardous microbes on surfaces in industry and healthcare; stimulate growth and support business driven innovation in the regional and UK economy; deliver sustainable antimicrobial innovation that has global societal impact and provide cross-disciplinary skills training to innovators in industry as well as infection prevention and control practitioners in the NHS.

You should have a PhD and an undergraduate degree in any of the following subjects: surface science, chemistry, physics, materials science, biophysics, biomedical science, microbiology/related bioscience is essential. The posts are available for 1 year, with the possibility of extension for a further year.
