This is a Full time, fixed term post for a period of 24 months
The successful applicant for this post will work with Professor Thanos Karatzias & Professor Michael Brown and in close collaboration with colleagues in health and social care across Scotland. The primary aim of this research is to investigate the impact and outcomes achieved by Local Area Coordinators (LACs) based within primary care teams and those within generic LAC teams on the health of people with learning disabilities.
Essential skills include interviewing and assessment skills for research purposes, excellent communication skills, quantitative and qualitative data collection and analysis and report writing as well as administrative skills. The successful applicant should also be able to demonstrate organizational skills and the ability to work independently and to deadlines and the ability to travel across Scotland. Applications are welcomed from applicants with a background in nursing, AHPs, social work or applied psychology.
Previous experience in working as a research assistant with vulnerable people is essential.
