Fixed-term post
This fixed term post-doctoral research post provides an exciting opportunity for a researcher building a post-PhD career to gain valuable insights and experience from contributing to a funded research project. The project is part of the FP7-SSH-2013-1 GLAMURS (Green Lifestyles, Alternative Models and Upscaling Regional Sustainability) project and aims to develop a theoretically-based and empirically-grounded understanding of the main obstacles and prospects for transitions to sustainable lifestyles and a green economy in Europe, as well as of the most effective means to support and speed them up.
In order to develop theoretical conceptualization of the project, you will be expected to perform a meta-analysis on the factors influencing sustainable lifestyles adoption, by identifying key variables and inconsistencies in the existing empirical research on determinants of lifestyles and lifestyle change. A PhD in economics, econometrics, social science or a related subject with strong quantitative research methods background is essential as well as proficiency in using computer software for data management. You will work closely together with senior staff members and other project members of the EU-project.
The post is available from January 2014 (or any agreed later date) for 12 months on a full time basis.
Interviews are likely to take place in the week commencing 13 January 2014.
Informal enquiries can be made in advance of the closing date to Dr Suncica Vujic via email: s.vujic@bath.ac.uk or Dr Lucy O’Shea via email: L.C.M.O'Shea@bath.ac.uk.
