This is an exciting opportunity to work within the expanding statistics team at the Edinburgh Clinical Trials Unit (ECTU). Based within the University of Edinburgh, ECTU is a close collaboration between the clinical academic community affiliated to the University and NHS Lothian. ECTU supports the development and delivery of research proposals which answer important questions that will influence treatment and service delivery within the NHS. ECTU’s aim is to ensure the delivery of high quality regulated and non-regulated randomised controlled trials.
Working alongside a group of statisticians in ECTU, you will provide senior level statistical expertise in clinical trials. This role will require close communication with other statisticians, other Trials Unit staff, and clinical colleagues. You will work closely with experienced clinical trials methodologists in the University of Edinburgh. You should have a PhD in medical statistics plus significant relevant experience, or an MSc plus a more substantial period of experience. You will be familiar with clinical trials regulatory guidelines and have extensive experience in advanced statistical modelling. Experience of SAS programming would be an advantage.
