Full-time – 37.5 hours per week

Grade and salary: £21,500 per annum pro rata 

Software Engineer - An opportunity to lead a software development project in the building design industry.

Space Group and Leeds Metropolitan University are looking for a self-motivated individual to lead a 51 week software development project.  Part of a shorter Knowledge Transfer Partnership, the role offers the opportunity to gain valuable experience of software development in a dynamic environment. 

The successful candidate will be employed by Leeds Metropolitan University and be based at Space Group’s offices in Newcastle upon Tyne.

Applicants should have

A minimum 2:1 Honours degree in a computing related discipline. A good working knowledge of database systems design and implementation including entity relationship modelling and SQL programming skills.Experience of web-application development including a good working knowledge of HTML5, CSS3 and JavaScript for client-side development.Excellent planning and organisation skills with the ability to manage times and tasks effectively.
