Key duties to being a trainee
Being a trainee solicitor at BLP involves:

Meeting clients, finding out their needs and establishing how to helpResearching relevant areas of law and proposing courses of action to clients either through their supervisors or directlyDrafting letters, contracts and other legal documentsSupporting the supervisor when acting on behalf of clients in negotiations

When recruiting trainees, our focus is on quality rather than quantity. Trainees spend six months in four seats and progress is reviewed every three months. The majority of trainees will gain experience within the real estate, and corporate finance departments and undertake a contentious seat during their training contract. Client secondments are a popular choice, and there is the opportunity to undertake an international seat in either our Brussels, Moscow, Singapore or Abu Dhabi office if this is of interest.

We are recruiting for March 2016, September 2016 and March 2017. We do have some earlier vacancies that may be open to successful applicants.

Vacancies: 40- 45           
Minimum qualification: 2.1 degree law/non-law, 340 UCAS points, relevant legal experience preferable
Location: London
Starting salary: £37,000
