National Institute for the Mentally Handicapped – Teaching & Non Teaching Posts 2014: The National Institute for the Mentally Handicapped under the Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment has advertised a notification for the recruitment of 06 Assistant Professor in Special Education, Assistant Professor in Paediatrics, Assistant Administrative Officer, Junior Special Education Teacher, LDC/Typist, Craft Instructor posts to be filled on direct recruitment basis. Age Limit: Candidates age should be 45 years for S.No.1 & 2, 35 years for S.No.3, 30 years for S.No.4, 18028 years for S.No.5, below 30 years for S.No.6. Relaxation in upper age limit is applicable as per the norms of GOI to SC/STOBC/ PH/ Ex-Servicemen/ employees already working in Central Government Departments.

Educational Qualification: Candidates should possess Master’s in Social Sciences with M.Ed. in Special Education(MR)/ M.Ed with DSE(MR) or equivalent qualifications and Ph.D with dissertation topic in the field of education of children with mental retardation with 05 years experience for S.No.1, PG in Medical Degree, eg., MD in Paediatrics or equivalent qualification with 4years teaching and/ research experience for S.No.2, Degree with 5 years experience in establishment in supervisory capacity for S.No.3, Graduate and Diploma in Special Education (MR) or equivalent with two years experience of working with children with mental retardation for S.No.4, SSLC or equivalent examination with typewriting lower (30 wpm) in English for S.No.5, Matriculation or equivalent, Diploma/Certificate in two trades with 3 years experience for S.No.6.

Selection Process: Selection will be based on their performance in interview.

Application Fee: Candidates need to pay Demand Draft (non-refundable) of Rs.200/- drawn on any Nationalized Bank in favour of Director, NIMH. No fee is prescribed for candidates belonging to SC/ST/PH category.

How to Apply: Eligible candidates may apply through prescribed application format along with the attested copies of certificates in support of educational qualifications, experience, caste, disability, D.D of Rs.200/- etc., should reach the Director, NIMH, Manovikasnagar, Secunderabad-500 009on or before 24-02-2014.
