Age Limit: Candidates age limit should be 18-33 years as on 01-01-2014. Relaxation in upper age Limit will be 5 years for SC/ ST candidates, 3 years for OBC candidates, Widow/ Divorcee/ Judicial separated lady’s upper age limit is 35 years for General, 38 years for OBC, 40 years for SC/ ST.
Educational Qualification: Candidates should be a President’s Scout/ Guide/ Ranger/ Rover or Himalayan wood Badge Holder, Should have been an active member of a Scout’s organization for at least 3 years in the recent Past i.e 2010-11, 2011-12, 2012-13 and current 2013-14 should be continued to be active, Should have attended at least one event at National level (Event on the Indian railways will be National level) and one or two event at State level.
Selection process: Candidates will be selected based on their performance in written test.
Examination Fee: Candidates should pay Rs.40/- through Demand Draft/ Indian Postal Order should be drawn in favour of District Commissioner, North Western Railway Bharat Scout & Guide Ajmer. Demand draft should be drawn of any Nationalized Bank payable at Ajmer. IPO should be payable at H.P.O Ajmer. SC/ ST, woman, Minorities like Muslims, Sikhs, Christian, Buddha, Zoroastrians, Parsees & Economically backward classes are exempted from paying fee.
How to Apply: Eligible candidates may send their applications in the prescribed format along with Date of Birth, Caste Certificate, Self attested photo stat copies of Scout & Guide certificates, 2 latest passport size photographs in Scout/ Guide uniform & 2 self address 4 X 10 inch size envelopes with Rs.5/- postal stamp on it. On the top of the envelope “Application for Direct Recruitment against Scout-Guide Quota for the year 2013-14 should be superscribed. Certificates in language other than English or Hindi should accompany by an attested translation in English/ Hindi. The application should be sent by ordinary post only in a closed envelope or to be dropped in the application box provided for the purpose in the Divisional Rail Manager’s Office, North Western Railway Ajmer on or before 05-02-2014 by 17:00 Hrs.
