Sikkim Government Recruitment 2014 – Computer Operator Posts: Department of Information Technology, Government of Sikkim has advertised a notification for recruitment of Computer Operator in Home Department under the Sikkim State Sub ordinate Information Technology Service Recruitment Rules 2005. Age Limit: Candidates age limit 18-30 years as on 30-05-2012. In case of MBC/OBC 3 year’s age relaxation, 5 years age relaxation in case of in-service regular Government Servant. The upper age limit is relaxed up to 50 years in the case of Group “C” and “D” persons working under State Government / NHPC and other Central Government establishment or undertakings in the State of Sikkim on MR/ Adhoc/ Substitute/ Contract/ Work Charge basis.

Educational Qualification: Candidate should possess A Class X Examination passed with 3 years Diploma in Engineering (with Computer or Information Technology as one of the subjects in two semesters) or Senior Secondary (Class XII) Examination passed or equivalent from a recognized board and one Year Diploma in Computer Applications from a reputed institute along with “Computer Concept Certificate (CCC)” from NIELIT Centre (formerly DOEACC). Must be able to converse in one of the languages viz. Nepali, Bhutia. Lepcha or Limboo and must have the knowledge of culture and tradition of Sikkim.

Selection Process: Candidate would be selected based on their performance in written & practical examination & interview.
